WINAIR is happy to announce a significant expansion of its flight services, effective January 15th, 2024.
In addition to the increase of flights between St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius, WINAIR also introduces more direct flight routes .

Winair, also known as Windward Islands Airways International NV, is a government-owned Dutch airline that operates from Sint Maarten in the Caribbean. The airline has a history of over 60 years, having been founded in 1961 by Georges Greaux and Hippolyte Ledee. Winair was one of the first airlines to use digital record-keeping and live inventory management systems in the aviation industry.

The airline has announced plans to launch new routes and increase frequencies in the coming months, as part of its strategy to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic and to strengthen its position as a regional carrier. Winair will start flying to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and resume its flights to Port-au-Prince in Haiti, using its 50-seat ATR 42-500 aircraft. The airline will also increase its frequencies to some of its existing destinations, such as Antigua, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Guadeloupe, St. Barths and St. Kitts. Winair will also continue to offer interline and codeshare agreements with partner airlines, such as Air Antilles, Air France, KLM and Copa Airlines.

Winair’s president and CEO, Michael Cleaver, said that the expansion was a result of the airline’s resilience and commitment to serving the region. “We are very excited to announce these new developments, which will offer more travel options and connectivity to our customers. We are confident that these routes will be successful and will contribute to the economic recovery and development of our destinations,” he said.

Winair operates a fleet of six aircraft, including four ATR 42-500s and two DHC-6 Twin Otters. Winair serves 15 destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America.
