This summer, travelers will have more options to get to Statia with regional carrier, Winair. The airline has announced twice-daily flights to the island from June 1 through August 31, 2022. Statia and other neighbouring islands will benefit from the increased daily flights in that period via gateway, Sint Maarten, where Winair is based and which is Statia main hub. Demand will be monitored during the peak of the low season of September and October. Flights may be scheduled weekly, namely Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, twice daily.
As you plan your trip to Statia, be mindful that some Covid-19 entry requirements still apply. Mandatory PCR tests 48 hours before leaving your destination will be required for all travelers who were vaccinated but have not received a booster shot. Alternatively, vaccinated but non-boosted travellers can take an Antigen test 24 hours prior to departure from their destination.
Fully vaccinated and boosted travellers are exempt from these pre-arrival tests. On the 5th day of your stay on Statia, all visitors will have to take an Antigen test. This is mandatory. Also mandatory is the Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS) form which must be filled out prior to arrival on the island.
