According to the Admitad Affiliate network, online sales in the United States travel sector (package tours, airfares, car rentals, etc.) increased by 25% in the first half of 2021 and the total sales amount is up by 18.4%.

What’s this mean for you? Make those travel arrangements now. Many of you are familiar with that old adage “he who hesitates is lost.” Every metric we’ve looked at for the remainder of 2021, especially in the United States, indicates pent up demand will drive those airline and hotel occupancy rates even higher.

Despite the fact that some countries are faced with a new wave of COVID, more and more borders have been opening up for US residents, and the scope of domestic tourism is also increasing.

The most significant sales growth in the United States has taken place in two areas: airfare purchases (+46.4%) and hotel bookings (+27.2%). Purchases of train tickets and package tours are also up.

The United States is one of the top 6 countries in terms of growth in travel sales in 2021. The other five are UAE (+116%), Israel (+78%), Turkey (+36.6%), Portugal (+32%) and Spain (+27.8%).

Admitad says the average online travel spend in the United States is approximately $440, trailing only Israel, Canada, Switzerland, Germany and France in this category.
