Fully vaccinated travelers can hit the road again says the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The guidelines from the CDC, updated on April 2, 2021, says U.S. citizens who have completed their two shot regime (Pfizer or Moderna) or the singe shot vaccine from Johnson and Johnson, to travel safely with in the United States.

The guidance is as follows:

  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to get tested before or after travel unless their destination requires it
  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to self-quarantine

While the fully vaccinated can feel free to travel, the CDC says travels should still certain health and safety protocols. Those protocols include:

  • Wear a mask over your nose and mouth
  • Stay 6 feet from others and avoid crowds
  • Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer
