We interview Rebecca Bernard about her love for Costa Rica from just outside of Puerto Limon on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. Rebecca holds dual citizenship — Costa Rica and the United States. She and her two kids set out on a global adventure before the corona virus put a halt to her plans. Now she’s living in paradise and enjoying every minute of it.
I think the other difference and one of the really big things that I appreciate about being here (Costa Rica) right now is that the barter network is so much more prevalent, right? Like you got a neighbor that got mangoes. We’ve got the guy down the road that gets our fish…we hit him a text and he comes back with Marlin fresh, you know, straight out to the ocean. So, it’s been really lovely…Neighbors drop off banana bread every two days…people are just chilling. Some folks are making homemade yogurt…We’ve got probably 20 different crops going in our garden.
