Are you one of those who waited patiently to visit the lush landscapes of a tropical paradise. Okay, maybe you were a little impatient. Well, wait no more, as Belize is set to reopen to tourists beginning Oct. 1.

The announcement, from the Belize Tourism Board earlier this month does come with a series of protocols to protect visitors and citizens. You must stay at Gold Standard hotel properties and use tour operators who meet certain health and safety standard requirements.

• Basic pre-entry requirements include:
• Register on the Belize Health App.
• Book travel to approved accommodations
• Fill in and submit the Belize Visitor Application.
• Take Covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours of arrival
• Follow all airline and airport protocols prior to arrival.
