Anguilla was voted #2 Island in the Caribbean & Atlantic at the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards, released online this week and in the November print issue of the magazine.
“We are delighted that Anguilla’s outstanding tourism product has been experienced and recognized by the discerning travelers of this leading travel magazine,” declared Mr. Haydn Hughes, Anguilla’s Minister of Tourism and Infrastructure. “We are proud of the work we have done to enhance the visitor experience on island and to improve access to our island, and we are looking forward to an excellent winter season. Anguilla has emerged stronger than ever to reclaim our position among the best of the best.”
Anguilla’s hotels also featured prominently on the list of Top 40 Resorts in the Caribbean Islands, with Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, placed at #4; Zemi Beach House Hotel & Spa at #12; and Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection at #36. Additional criteria were added to this year’s questionnaire, such as accessibility, remote-working potential, and how community-minded the resort is.
For the past 25 years, Condé Nast Traveler has conducted this annual survey of thousands of readers, teaming up with their sister title in the USA for the past four years. The complete list of winners in all categories can be seen here.
